Like many of us who value our enjoyment of life and appreciate the healthier we are the more of our our life we are likely to enjoy, I had tried, over the years, every type of diet there is – the memories of the cabbage soup fast still fill me with dread – as well as exercise, but there was always one nagging problem, as I saw it, is that life tended to get in the way: I mean, you want to be healthier, you want to look and feel better, but there is simply not enough time. The fact that there is always time to go down to the pub with your mates, that’s beside the point. So, when intermittent fasting came along about 25 years ago, I felt that this could be the answer – it made sense – we, as humans, unless we were exceptionally well-off, did not eat regular three meals daily until after the end of the Second World War – it was simply not a done thing: you had your meal in the evening and had a light snack in the morning and that was pretty much it. By the way, for those doubting this, have a look at the newsreels from our various Western capitals from 1930’s, 40’s, 50’s and se how many overweight people you’ll see – and, I felt, that having a cup of tea or coffee in the morning, doing a bit of walking to the office, and then having a nice supper would be manageable. It wasn’t, let me tell you. The hunger pangs, the envoys glances I shot across my colleagues desks as they we tucking into their lunches, was more than I could bear after a day or two. Besides, it also made me very grumpy. In short, despite the promise that intermittent fasting initially held for me (and I did try it several times, you understand, with the longest “stretch” lasting for 10 days!) I came to the conclusion that sanity and going through a day with a genuine smile on my face instead of a snarl was an agreeable trade-off. And so it was until I discovered Palmyra – this magical ingredient in our Hormony Drinks. It was what many of you whom I had pleasure meeting over the years at various shows up and down the country had described as a “light bulb” moment – have your 10 grams (a tablespoon) of Hormony Drinks in the morning, do a bit of cardio (a nice brisk walk to begin with would do), have another tablespoon in the afternoon so you don’t get that afternoon “crush” and you simply don’t feel hungry until that evening. An absolute doodle – you aren’t even temped when you look and smell the food during the day! However, as with everything in life, there is a catch – exercise in the morning is the key as it will help to keep your blood sugar levels stable for longer and if you do what some may describe as a “proper” exercise involving weights and suchlike, you may not feel any desire to eat for over 24 hours even if your job demands high levels of concentration and/or customer interaction. In short, try what we suggest, see how you feel, and, the chances are, you will start looking and feeling trimmer in a relatively short period of time.
